Athletics Mpumalanga is the governing body over athletics in Mpumalanga.  Mpumalanga is divided into the following 3 Districts:

 Ehlanzeni (Nelspruit area)

 Gert Sibande (Secunda area)

 Nkangala (Middelburg area)

Mission

The mission of Athletics Mpumalanga is to develop athletics by providing athletes, coaches, technical officials and administrators with the utmost opportunities for participation in athletics events.

We aim to bring athletics to the athletes in order to ensure that all possible up and coming athletes have the opportunity to show what they are capable of.

Athletics in Mpumalanga consist of the following three disciplines:

  • Cross Country
  • Road Running
  • Track and Field

Training

Technical Officials are trained on Provincial level in order to obtain ASA Level 1 and ASA Level 2 which will allow them to officiate at any of our athletic events.  ASA Level 2 Technical Officials are invited to officiate at certain ASA events.

Our Coaches are trained by top facilitators and coaches to ensure that they are equipped with the latest and best information and techniques to enable them to assist their athletes to become the best they can be.

The Executive Board of Athletics Mpumalanga is available to assist you where possible.  If you have any development proposals/needs/complaints in your specific district, please contact the Vice President of your district or send an e-mail to the Provincial office for the attention of the Vice President.

The Chairpersons of the Commissions can be contacted for any enquiries in their specified field of athletics.  All general enquiries can be directed to the Provincial Office, which will be re-directed to the relevant Chairperson.
