Athletics Mpumalanga is the governing body over all athletics in Mpumalanga.
Mpumalanga consists of the following 3 Districts: Ehlanzeni (Nelspruit and surrounding area), Gert Sibande (Secunda and surrounding area) and Nkangala (Middelburg and surrounding area).

Bigger, Faster, Stronger
The mission of Athletics Mpumalanga is to expand and develop our athletics throughout Mpumalanga.
We intend to reach this goal by empowering our coaches, technical officials and club administrators with the best possible training opportunities to ensure that they are up to date on the newest training techniques available as well as all rules and regulations from Athletics South Africa and World Athletics.
We aim to bring high standard athletic events to the athletes. More events give up and coming athletes more opportunities to show what they are capable of and open doors for them to excel in athletics.
Our Track and Field Discipline includes all events that can be hosted on an athletic track and field. Sprints: 100m, 200m, 400m. Hurdles. Middle and long distance: 800m, 1 500m, 3 000m. Throws such as javelin, shot put, hammer and discus. Jumps include long jump, triple jump, high jump.
Road Running Discipline includes all our road races from fun runs, park runs to ultra marathons (4,9km – 50km).
Cross Country Discipline covers all off-road events from miles, trail runs and of course cross country.
OUR COACHES ARE TRAINED BY TOP FACILITATORS AND COACHES
Technical Officials are trained on Provincial level in order to obtain ASA Level 1 and ASA Level 2 which will allow them to officiate at any of our athletic events. ASA Level 2 Technical Officials are invited to officiate at certain ASA events.
Our Coaches are trained by top facilitators and coaches to ensure that they are equipped with the latest and best information and techniques to enable them to assist their athletes to become the best they can be.
